Nike: The idea that starting is the most difficult part before you ‘Just do it’
This idea came to me during just about all my homework, midterms, finals, making food, getting prepared to go to class, and even just everyday to be able to shut my alarm off instead of pressing snooze again and starting my day by getting out of bed.
I just decided to turn it into a Nike billboard because a lot of people will say ‘just do it’ but in everyday life you have to stay motivated and take little steps to be able to grow and get better at your craft.
This is why I created the slogan ‘The most difficult part is getting past start’ because once you start something whether its getting the base skeleton of an assignment or planning any type of schedule daily, weekly, monthly, etc once you get started it gets a whole lot easier.
This design also stems away from the typical NIKE “one solid background, one color font” ads that the massive company conveys. My design is not only more colorful but the words are similar to a stoplight where you wait for it to turn green and the word start being green because in order to succeed you need to start.
Script Summary:
A man tries to start a race but every time starter pistol goes off he is sent back to a different form of procrastination such as being on the couch watching tv, working at his desk, and his bedroom to sleep but he keeps going out to his front door to run and he finally runs to a crowd of marathoners about to start where he gets into position right at the starting line before the actual race pistol starts. The camera is at a straight on angle of the mans face as he lifts his head to look straight and the starter pistol shoots again then the screen goes black with the classic swoosh logo and reads ‘The most difficult part is getting past start’.

This idea…
Comes from Mcdonald’s already promoting personalized deals and promotions based upon what the individual orders often. These types of deals keep the consumer coming back and continuing the repetition of buying the things they already like from McDonald’s and now they have every reason to go back if they can get their favorite food, drink, dessert, etc for a discounted price or an additional item for cheap.
The idea to bring Jermaine Cole into the mix is because he is a famous rapper with an astonishing fan base and like Travis Scott, if Cole endorses something especially from a popular chain then it is sure to blow up and sell out. The idea to “Love Yourz” stems from one of Cole’s songs with the same title. The song discusses how one should value the life they are living because it is unlike anyone else who is living.
The same concept of “personalized for you” marketing can be wired into the already similar aspects of the Mcdonald’s app.
Furthermore, by adding a “personalized vault” for each account on the app there can now be more value and more personal appeal for each Mcdonald’s consumer as well as “unlocking” the new meal that one of their favorite celebrities gets when he eats Mcdonald’s.

Dreaming 767
From when the sun rises to the moon starts gleaming. A young boy finds cheap thrills in his homemade paper airplane that he hopes one glorious day to not just fly off his roof but to fly up high in the sky. He dreams of being the captain of his own aircraft glued to his cockpit seat soaring through the clear blue sky. He wants to soar as high as the moon and dash through the stars as he gazes down upon the cities and towns that light the ground. His only neighbor the blue pigment in the sky turning to night and the city lighting up in a blaze of neon light. Day or night the boy finds whatever time he can create and play with his paper airplanes even if it means taking it around his house like a 767 late in the night flying across the continents. His energy transfers from his hand through the wind like one runs their hands through their hair. He becomes ecstatic when he creates another plane that sores with the wind making loops almost as if it’s emulating a roller-coaster in air. But also humbled at such a young age when he throws a paper plane for the first time and seeing if nosedive straight down like an Amazon waterfall. Seeing one plane fail makes him even more motivated to create different variations of his favorite hobby to which he can only hope to master. The inspiration from the boys heart fuels his mind to learn and soak up whatever knowledge he can about his favorite aircrafts like a sponge soaking up a spill. The boy doesn’t have a worry in the world other than when he is going to get to see his favorite planes soar at his fingertips again.
